It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
My husband and I rented this movie over the weekend and it was awesome. It is not only a great family movie but it is a beautiful biblical love story. What I also found so unique was how in the movie Esther truly wanted to learn how to please the king–she desired not jewels when given the opportunity to wear them for the king–but desired to know what would make the king happy. It is interesting how today many seeking someone to love– only seek to obtain love but do not seek out their True Love. Or how easy it is for a wife to demand and yet not ever seek to know what makes their husband happy and serve him…i speak to myself on that one.
Esther, throughout the movie often quoted a most powerful verse— Proverbs 25:2, It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
What are we searching out that God has concealed? A few verses down it says…Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
If you desire to see a great movie– watch One Night with the King.
