recent ponderings of deep

illuminationLooks as if my blog suffers much from my busyness…amongst other things. There is always a cost when one explores new endeavors. A cost which I did not quite consider…a cost which the Lord had asked me to examine in the beginning. To take time. Embrace the season of rest but my hurriedness got the best…and now I see the effects of “my ill rest”. But I cannot go back–I must move forward and keep all these things in my consideration so to not give way to the impeding rivals of rest but embrace each moment as He gives. To not be busy and encroached with the things and matters of the world. But to seek Him while He may be found. Time is of the essence!

As of late–a recent ponderment has me baffled beyond words in how Jesus Himself uses foolishness to confound the wisdom we often boast of! Such prejudices we have toward one another and such judgements we begrudgingly hold without ample reason. Yet nonetheless, He commands we prefer–we serve–we rejoice–we care–even for those lowly and those of ill will toward others. We bless–we do not look on evil but look to God for deliverance from evil. The evil that is deep seated in our nature that rises up when we aren’t looking up to heaven but instead have puffed ourselves up beyond measure giving preference to “self” than others.

Romans 12:10-18
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

A tall order to say the least–yet quite possible to daily walk in and through the power of the Holy Ghost and grace Jesus Christ so freely gives!
