distortion in the Body of Christ

distortionRecently the Lord has been sharing with my husband and I many things that are distorted within the Body of Christ. When I think of the word distortion I picture sheep. The sheep’s face has many of the same features yet it is as if the face has been pulled and stretched and lost it’s dimension and balance. I am seeing this all over the Body of Christ. A different Gospel being preached and yet no one is blowing the whistle, yet we can easily blow the whistle in sports when we see someone making a foul or a wrong play or even an illegal play. But for some reason in church, we go each Sunday to Sunday and walk like zombies through the church doors, sitting down in our “normal” pew spot and receiving garbage from the pulpit! In the end, we end up walking out of the service with our faces distorted and not free. So you may ask, why is this?

Let me ask you a few deep interal questions.
Does your pastor preach on the sin that so easily besets you?
Does your pastor tell you to repent?
Does your pastor preach/teach from the Word of God?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions or all of them–you need to run as fast as you can out of that church–never to return again and find one that does preach on the above questions! Otherwise, you will not make it in the coming days ahead. You will turn your heart over to the beast because you don’t know what you believe. If you are confused about what you believe–get into the Word of God and start reading! His Word says in John 16:13-15, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not be presenting his own ideas; he will be telling you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14 He will bring me glory by revealing to you whatever he receives from me. 15 All that the Father has is mine; this is what I mean when I say that the Spirit will reveal to you whatever he receives from me.” NLT

So if your pastor is teaching you their own ideas about walking in faith and it has nothing to do with the Word of God–run! Hey, and if you like it there because of the programs they have or the kid’s ministry or the pretty stained glass, then obviously your salvation is not that important to you. I know these are hard sayings to read java friends–but it’s time to stop goofing around with your eternal placement in the heavenlies and get your heart right with the Lord.

If there are any pastors reading this–awesome! I hope from this day forward the Holy Spirit will put such a fire in your heart that you will be unable to preach another heretical thing to your flock for fear of the same thing happening to you that happened to Ananias and Sapphira. That the fire of God within you would compel you to start preaching truth to the people that attend your church regardless whether or not the one’s in your congregation with the loads of money end up leaving your church. Afterall, all money burns in hell, right? Would you rather heap of treasure on earth that will burn with you in hell or heap up the eternal treasures in heaven where you will go? It’s time to stop playing games with the souls you have been entrusted with!

  1. Hi. What is your understanding of “pastor” and what is God’s? That is the question and 99% of believers would be surprised what the Scriptures teach about “pastor.” Maranatha!
