The little ant says, “God I don’t know why you want me to carry this contact lens. It’s heavy–I can’t eat it–I can’t use it in my house–it’s pretty much useless! But You have asked me to carry it–so I will continue to carry it until You let me know when to stop carrying it.”
A group of hikers had been climbing some rocks in a mountainous region. They stopped for a bit to rest and one of the hikers had noticed that he had lost his contact. He knew there was no way for it to be found so he said not a word to any of the other hikers. As the group was resting upon the rocks another hiker noticed an ant making his way up a rock. The sun was beating on the little ant. The hiker looked closer and noticed the ant was carrying something which the sun was reflecting on. The hiker got on his knees to get a better look at what the little fellow was carrying across the rock. It was a contact lens! He took the contact lens from the little ants back and announced to the other hikers, “Did anyone lose a contact lens?” The hiker who had lost the contact lens replied with astonishment, “Yes, as a matter of fact, I lost my contact lens!” The hiker who found the contact lens told him that he found the contact lens being carried by an ant and how the sun caused a reflection on the lens which got his attention. The hiker was amazed at the little ant carrying the lens. This particular hiker was also a cartoonist and decided to make a cartoon about the whole matter and this is what it said.
